About the Animal Care Division
Animal Care is our division for pets. We make braces for animals that are injured and prosthetic limbs for those that have had an amputation.
It was founded in 2015 by Antois Ferreira, who runs it together with Casper Steenkamp. Every device is designed and made for your own pet. We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution, and each one is engineered to be biomechanically appropriate and given the attention it needs to work.

What we make
Stifle braces
The stifle is a dog’s knee, the joint in the back leg. A stifle brace supports it when the ligaments are damaged, most often the cruciate ligament.
Each brace is custom made from a cast of your pet’s own leg, so that it fits and holds the knee steady.
Carpal braces (wrist)
The carpus is the wrist of a dog’s front leg. A carpal brace supports it and stops a damaged wrist from bending back too far (over-extending).
Each brace is made for your own pet, so that it fits the leg and holds the wrist where it should be.
Pet prosthetics
A pet prosthesis is an artificial leg for an animal that has had an amputation. It lets your pet put weight on that side again.
We make prostheses for front legs and for hind legs, each one from a cast of your pet’s own limb.
Blind dog halo
A halo is a light hoop worn in front of a blind dog’s head. It touches walls and furniture before the dog does, so your dog can find its way without bumping into things.
We make each halo to fit your own dog.

My Standard Poodle had a very bad fall and damaged the ligaments in his wrist. Subsequently the wrist hyperextends badly and the dog has been in significant pain. Antois made a brace to stop the hyper-extension. Now He has gone from being on complete rest to able to walk and run without doing further damage to the joint.
