Prosthetics

Legs, arms and hands, custom made and assembled by our own prosthetists.

Lower Limb Prosthetics

Legs for every level of amputation, built from the knees and feet that suit how active you are.

About lower limb prosthetics

A lower limb prosthesis replaces part or all of a leg. However much of the leg it replaces, it is put together from parts: a socket we make to fit you, a liner between your skin and the socket, a knee if the amputation is at or above the knee, a pylon, a foot, and a cover if you want one.

Every one of those parts comes in a family of options, from straightforward and more affordable to the most advanced. We build every leg ourselves, from Össur and Ottobock parts, and choose each one for how active you are and what your budget allows. Gerrit Ferreira, Antois Ferreira and Casper Steenkamp make and fit every kind of leg.

Answer the two questions below to see the liners, knees and feet that suit your leg.

An amputation through the foot

Where only part of the foot is missing, a plate fills the shoe and gives you something firm to push off from.
